Known Mobile Issues:

  • Customers may be experiencing longer video load times when connecting to a recorder in the AvertX mobile app due to video defaulting to the high stream. AvertX is actively working to give the user the option to set the default stream and this functionality will be available in a future update. In the interim, the user can Select Stream Quality in the app when tapping on the three bars in the bottom menu of the UI to more quickly navigate between cameras in the app.
  • Tapping the View Video link when viewing an alert notification email on an Android phone may not open the installed mobile app, but instead a page instructing the user to install the mobile app. Android 12 now requires users to manually select if the mobile app should open by default from a link. To do this, in the Android OS, navigate to Settings > Apps and find the AvertX app. Select the Open by Default option, and Add link. Then choose the connect.avertx.com domain.
