New and updated items in ProConnect Software Version 2.4:

  • NEW: Added a thumbnail view option to event search in the web client.

  • NEW: Added keyboard controls to web client timeline search, specifically:
    • SPACE BAR = Play/Pause,
    • LEFT ARROW = Reduce Playback Speed,
    • RIGHT ARROW = Increase Playback Speed,
    • LEFT ARROW WHEN PAUSED = Frame Left,
    • RIGHT ARROW WHEN PAUSED = Frame Right.
  • NEW: Added additional grid view options within the web client, including 6, 8, 9, 10a, 10b, 10c, 13, 17, 25 channel views.
  • IMPROVED: Improved stability and security.

Improved items in 2.4.5:

  • UPDATED: Added Object Search to web client including a new drawing tool that allows you to draw lines and connect them into custom shapes.

  • IMPROVED: Fixed an issue that caused the console search calendar to not update the UI properly when changing between months.
  • IMPROVED: Fixed an issue that caused Setup options in the local console to not work as intended.
  • IMPROVED: Fixed an issue that caused the local console to restart services after changing certain Setup options.

  • IMPROVED: Fixed an issue that could cause the console screen to go black when using the page arrows to change grid views in Live if the grid is a higher channel count than the cameras being displayed.
  • IMPROVED: Fixed an issue that could disable the 'Automatically log in to the live page' option in the console after a software upgrade.
  • IMPROVED: Fixed an issue that could cause an authentication error when logging into the mobile app the recorder is rebooted.

  • IMPROVED: Fixed an issue that caused the IP and credentials to be blanked out when adding a duplicate camera to a system. The duplicate camera will now be disabled by default when added.
  • IMPROVED: Fixed an issue that caused the loading spinner in setup to block the system settings page for an extended period of time.

  • IMPROVED: Fixed an issue that could cause recording loss if large amounts of video data were being deleted due to maximum retention set to a lower threshold.

  • IMPROVED: Fixed an issue that caused users not to be able to add a replacement camera with the same IP address even though the old camera with the same IP address was disabled.

Improved items in 2.4.16

  • UPDATED: Added the ability for users to page left or right in the console viewing pane even if the grid is blank by enabling the Allow Paging Through Blank Grids In Console Search setting in Setup > General Configuration > System Settings >General Settings.
  • UPDATED: Updated the logic for 360-degree or fisheye cameras over 9MP to display their native resolution in the web client and no longer be automatically transcoded.
  • IMPROVED: Fixed an issue that may have caused stability issues after importing a configuration file.  
  • IMPROVED: Fixed an issue that may have caused exports to fail. 
  • IMPROVED: Fixed a stability issue with transcoding. 
  • IMPROVED: Fixed an issue that caused users to be unable to enable or disable NTP in Setup > General Configuration > System Settings > General Settings.


Improved items in 2.4.17

  • UPDATED: Updated security and dependencies.
  • UPDATED: Added logic to systems running versions 1.0-2.1 to only display version 2.2 in AvertX ProConnect software updates. Systems will be required to update to version 2.2 before accessing newer release versions. 
  • UPDATED: Added the logic for Linux recorders running image versions 1.0-2.0.4 to be automatically updated after the update is completed.

Known Issues:

  • Sequencing cameras in Live in the console over several days may cause the console to restart sending the console to the log-in page. If impacted by the issue, enable 'Automatically log in to live page'  within Setup > System Settings.

New and updated items in iOS Version 2.4:

  • NEW: Added 360° view in live and recorded video with interactive PTZ control and zoom.
  • NEW: Added 'Activate Relay' feature in live to allow users to select a relay to remotely trigger when connected to an Proconnect version 2.3 recorder. 
  • UPDATED: Added a new 'View Live' option to push notifications which, when selected, takes you directly to view live video. 
  • UPDATED: Updated UI to change 'Search' to 'Recorded' and added a dedicated button for 'Events' to make the features more apparent. 
  • IMPROVED: Updated recorded video UI to make more user friendly. Moved '+' and '-' playback speed buttons and made user actions bar collapsible. 
  • IMPROVED: Improved the connection time to the recorder.

Improved items in iOS 2.4.1 and 2.4.2

  • IMPROVED: Improved stability and security.
  • IMPROVEDFixed an issue that could cause the app to crash after connecting to the recorder.
  • IMPROVEDFixed an issue causing Live video to start at the incorrect time when resuming from the background. 

Known Mobile Issues:

  • Tapping the View Video link when viewing an alert notification email on an Android phone may not open the installed mobile app, but instead a page instructing the user to install the mobile app. Android 12 now requires users to manually select if the mobile app should open by default from a link. To do this, in the Android OS, navigate to Settings > Apps and find the AvertX app. Select the Open by Default option, and Add link. Then choose the connect.avertx.com domain.
