What Happens if Cameras Experience Condensation or Related Damage
Condensation can occur for various reasons and AvertX cameras are designed and tested to an IP67 rating. Damage can result in electrical devices, however, if condensation (in liquid or vaporous state) permeates a device and weakens or destroys materials or equipment though rusting or short-circuiting.
Water damage can occur when the devices are improperly installed, misused, altered, or is accidentally damaged.
What can be done?
It is essential to properly plan the installation of cameras to help prevent possible damage. Periodic inspections and cleaning can also help prevent damage.
In warranty devices may be brought in for an evaluation.
