How to log into an AvertX camera’s software user interface (UI)

Camera Link allows users to remotely access the firmware on their cameras directly through the server software. This gives users the ability to configure the camera and update settings without needing to open any ports or change any network security settings.

Camera Link uses the same outbound trusted connection as AvertX Connect to facilitate connection to attached camera without the need for port forwarding or a VPN connection.

This exclusive feature saves valuable time and resources by allowing users to remotely access cameras for maintenance or update settings without requiring them to be at the location of the camera.

From a ProConnect recorder:

  1. Log into the NVR (through the ProConnect NVR console or via a browser)
  2. Go to Setup > System Settings > Cameras > select the camera from the Camera List.  Note the account name and password in the camera's General tab
  3. Click on the IP address link and log into the camera.

From P2A/P2B and Performance Series "legacy" NVR:

  1. Determine the IP address and web port of the NVR
  2. From a web browser, type the NVRs IP address followed by the port number assigned to the camera log into the camera

Examples on how to log into a camera's UI connected to a legacy NVR:

If the legacy NVR’s IP address is 192.168.1.33, the NVR’s web port is 80, and the camera is on the NVR’s physical port #7, you would type 192.168.1.33:87 in the web browser.

If the legacy NVR’s IP address is 192.168.1.33, the NVR’s web port is 80, and the camera is on the NVR’s physical port #12, you would type 192.168.1.33:92 in the web browser.
